Patsie McCandless- Light Lessons Blog: You Choose Control

You Choose Control

You choose control, not with tech devices, but in directing the amazing plasticity neurons in your brain, changing in the energy of Light.

Last week we remembered that you do not need the buttons and screens of tech devices. This week let’s see what replaces them, when you decide that you are in charge and you get to choose.

So here is what we are going to do:

Those buttons? Those screens? All that “stuff” out there, all the screens and buttons and other people using them all…. We are going to ignore them. Give them no energy. Certainly not your energy.

But… but… how will we connect? Communicate? Without our buttons? Without our screens?

Stop. Look.

Nobody wants buttons or screens. They are cumbersome. You have to get them out. Put them away. They need a battery to run, and the battery has no more charge in it. Buttons fall off and screens fog up.

You have lived off those buttons and screens every day. Oh, you use them for work. But you have found that even that has been draining you. Every industry keeps moving the bar higher – you have to add images to your words, you have to learn the new program, buy the new app, get your social media contacts up. All of which only ensures that you are using the digital devices more and more and more.

But really, they didn’t do anything more. They didn’t connect you. They only reminded you how isolated you have been. So now. Ignore the buttons. Ignore the screens.

An Ancient Caution

Plato wrote an account of the Egyptian myth about how writing was invented by the gods. Theuth was proud of his writing invention, promising the king of Egypt that writing will make the Egyptians wiser and improve their memories.

But another God, Thamus, warned that the writing invention will make readers forgetful. They will stop trying to remember. They will absorb words without wisdom, data without learning, information without knowledge and trivia without truth. (F. Fernandez-Armesto, author: Out of Our Minds: what we think and how we came to think it.”)

Sounds an awful lot like the internet!

New movie

This is what you can do: Imagine! Make your own 3D movie! And you are the writer, director, actor, editor, producer.

What? No! Not me! No!

Yes! You are the new movie! You are the new diamond. The new cut!

You do not need any buttons, especially buttons with someone else’s fingers on them, because you are in control. Not the buttons. Not the screen. You!

With your…
