How Do I Make My Dreams Come True?

How we make our dreams come true? Fantasizing and wishing our dreams into reality is a fun and powerful tribute to who we really are!

There is a great song from Hall & Oates called, “You Make My Dreams Come True!” It is full of happy joy, fun rhythms, and word pictures of “candles burning and the love that feeds the flame!”

It is the kind of music and singing that gets you up and moving! Dancing like no one is watching!

I love contagious songs like this!

And, it made me think about how we do make our dreams come true.

The Circle of Your Puzzle Pieces

Our dreams begin in the Circle of Life, radiating with four ideal spokes:

LOVE  –  WELL-BEING  –  ABUNDANCE  –  CREATION

These are the four categories that contain everything humans seek in completing and solving the puzzle of our lives.  They belong to all human beings. They are yours for the asking.

Speak Your Word – ASK

There are steps you can take to make your dreams come true.

Whether you ask for: love, from joy to surprises and fun;  well-being, from health to fitness;

abundance, from harvests to wealth; creation, from personal expression to manifesting – –

– or all of it – – – You can have it!

But first you must pick up your puzzle pieces:

  • you need be clear about your desire;
  • speak up and ask;
  • and you must have perfect faith – no doubt or worry or fear.

My Little Wish

My mother and I visited a small shop in our town that imported German Christmas items. I saw a Nutcracker figure and said that I would love to receive it. A spark shivered through my shoulders, and I imagined opening one of the shop’s special gift-wrapped packages, and holding the nutcracker in my hand. Perhaps someone in my family would make it my gift. But in the rush of the holidays, I didn’t think about it again.

Secret Santas

In school, we teachers had Secret Santas, full of daily little surprises. On the last day, we revealed who-was-who and exchanged gifts. I received one of those special gift-wrapped packages, and inside was the small, excellently crafted, wooden nutcracker ornament! Holding it in my hand, I was thrilled!

Delivery

But when I thanked my Secret Santa, she said, “I’m so glad you like it, but that’s not what I bought you! I got you a star ornament. The store must have mixed up the gifts!”

Isn’t it a marvel how the Universe delivered my little wish!

Wishes and Dreams

Earthlings wish on all sorts of things, from horseshoes to stars. We daydream and night-dream for one or more or all of the ideals in the Circle of Life.

But so many wishes and dreams are not fulfilled! For the simple reason that DOUBT and FEAR seep into your thoughts, snuffing out your candle, canceling out your heart’s desire right then and there! When you don’t see how your wishes and dreams will ever come true – they don’t come true.

The Negative Energy Within

The way it all works is to > get a clear picture > ask > have trust in the Universe – God – Source – Divine > And let it go!

But humans stub their toe on one or more of those steps. The biggest stumbling block is WORRY and FEAR. It is mankind’s only real nemesis. And the tricky part is that this nemesis lives within. Your Human brain and your Automatic brain conjure an image of NOT having your wish. It is FEAR – with capital letters and capital power. You have an abiding fear of lack, fear of sickness, failure, loss, and any feeling that you do not deserve your wish.

 Switch!

Of course, there is a way out of your worry and fear. You climb out of your Automatic brain and your Human brain – and dwell in your Intuitive Divine brain. There are many ways to do this, such as using mantras, meditating and journaling.  The important step is to pivot. Switch from worry and fear to faith and trust.

Faith and trust mean that you believe.

I have been editing my second book for Becoming Jesse, and I was enjoying one of my passages about the magic of believing. I wrote a line similar to Sir Walter Scott’s famous words, but my line, of course, is more positive: “Oh, what Magic webs we weave, when first we practice to believe.”

Look for Your Good

When your jig-saw puzzle is coming together, it looks good, and it feels good – like dancing to a song! That is the goal of the Puzzle of Life: to see and feel – imagine – believe –  only the good, the wonderful, the marvelous in your life.

Count your blessings. All things bright and beautiful in your life – no matter how small. You woke up this morning! You put your feet on the floor, and they work! The water is hot in the shower. The tea is hot in your mug. The toaster browns your bread to perfection!

You get the idea. Believing these things is a given. You just go about your automatic day and everything works! So good!

Pay attention to your Good. Live your Good! Choose and use words for your highest and best. As my first  Becoming Jesse, says, “May all the words on your tongue taste delicious!
